When you hear the word Exclusive, what do you think of? When I hear it i think of something that is unique or something only a few people can get. The actual deffinition of the word is, limited (to); found only (in) / single; unique; only. My definition of the word is spot on, but apparently video game companies don't care for the meaning of the word.

Nearly every game these days offers some kind of exclusive bonus content. Thats perfectly fine, who wouldn't want to pre-order a game and get a bunch of free extras. The problem comes when they start to charge us twenty dollars or more, on top of the normal game price ie. special editions, for a extra set of "Exclusive" maps, or other content. If people are big fans of a series or a game then i see nothing wrong with people having to pay a little extra to get something that not everyone will have and to make their experience a little more fun. This is where it gets tricky. A few months down the road, these same companies offer this supposedly "Exclusive Content" as a purchase that anyone can get. If it cost the same as before then it wouldn't be a big deal, but yet they often charge half or less of the original price.

I don't think that they should be able to get away with this. We make these games possible just by continuing to buy their games, and yet they rip us off year after year. I think its about time someone made a stand. Gamers need to come together and tell these greedy bastards to knock it off. They make millions off us just with a purchase of the game and then like a scam artist they keep trying to get more and more. I think they need to be held accountable for their actions. Its perfectly fine for a game to offer DLC, but don't falsely advertise it as exclusive just to trick people into buying it for a higher price.
