team daryl, shanes cool but he is a wild card, he seems to be the guy that will do whta the guys at the bar did to rick hershal and glen. he seems like he needs to threaten, beat and destory everyone who doesn't want to do it his way. he only listens to rick because its like an older brother telling him to stop.

Shane has to exist--it's the only way the show works. Imagine if you have a group of Ricks and no one to counter-balance that out. It would be a nightmare and the ruin of the show. It compels the audience to be locked into seeing the next episode because someone, and it may be Rick, is going to have to dole out some discipline towards Shane because his overzealous antics will eventually put the group in a more dire situation and that will, in my opinion, be the demise of the story.

Oh I agree he has to exist for storytelling purposes. In fact I think he is the key element in the story. In his efforts to avoid the zombies and stay human he has lost what it means to be human. The only difference between him and zombies is the ability to speak and operate equipment. He is driven by survival and consumption. He's just another zombie now, except more dangerous to the rest of the group. He won't consume them right away. He will eat away at them slowly. Like cancer.

Although I disagree on Shane being crucial to the story, I still like that he is in the T.V show and continues to stay a part of it. Your own best friend slowly becoming your own worst enemy amidst chaos.
I'm always on Rick's side, he's not selfish like Shane.

If you were surrounded by zombies, would you want shane or rick fighting with you?

Put aside that he shot that fat dude and left him for dead earlier in the season.

I would want Rick fighting next to me. Because if Shane gets into another situation as before, he will have no problem putting a bullet in your leg and leaving you for dead.

But you can't put that aside, and did you forget he left Rick for dead? Yeah, he was in a bad spot, but he's suppose to be your boy, protect him. But the person I'd most likely would want to roll with is probably Daryl, Glen or even T-Dog.

I will still take rick over shane because i know he wont leave me. Even when it gets shitty. Remember Rick fighting his way to the tank? Yeah I'll take Rick. He can spin straw into gold.
