Game Of The Year Still "Playable" on PS3

I'm wondering if MW1 is still fun and not taken over by hackers like W@W is. MW1 was so fun. I think I'm a level like 28 or 35 or something like that. But is it still playable without running into hackers every single match. I was kind of thinking about buying MW1, and have some fun.

Campaign-
Kill Makarov and Zakahev, maybe Yuri too. Blow some stuff up with an AC1-30. Then pop bullets into Zakahev to end the game. Save the hostage on the plane. Then do some stuff online.

Yes it's definitely playable and IMO more fun than MW3 or blobs. The hackers seem to be on ffa and gw but I've never witnessed hacking in reg. tdm.
