It's an old game that infinity ward doesn't have time to patch when working on other games, what do you expect?

You must be joking... a game developer should not disown a game no matter how old it is. It SHOULD be fixed.. alot of genuine people DO play and alot more WOULD PLAY if it was fixed.. IW = douchebags

If it's still sold then it should be maintained. Maybe not to the extent that a new game is, but if it's affecting a playerbase to the kind of extent here it should be addressed. If I bought a game (retail especially, not used) and it didn't have any kind of statement saying that "this game is old and no longer maintained" I would expect that patches would still be coming if necessary. IMO.

This happened to one of my friends, and I'm kinda scared that it will happen to me.

I'm only 1st Prestige in COD 4, but when I'm 'done' with MW3 I may go back to COD 4 and maybe try and go to 10th Prestige. Although along the way I probably will run into hackers, which will suck. Infinity Ward need to fix this, COD 4 is awesome.
