Wouldn't an AR that's good for CQB and long range (considering it's an AR) be better for being a tryhard?

I've gotten a Nuke with a silenced Ump45 and Cold-Blooded.

A silenced UMP barely affects the damage except at a long range.
However, I've never been much for SMGs excluding CoD4's MP5 and MW2/3's P90.

The M93 Raffica was also something I could never get into either.

My try-hard class would probably have an M4 Supp. with a Striker FMJ.
