PS3 vs. XBOX

So here is my dilemma....I am currently a a 3rd prestige MW3 player with a K/D of 1.45 on the Playstation 3 gaming consolebut am fortunate enough to have both systems. Alot of my counterparts play on the same system as I do but I have an equal amount of friends that play on XBOX. And I believe I am sick of hearing that the XBOX community is better at the COD series than the PS3 community. I am leaning towards buying the game for XBOX and re-sunbscribing to XBOX Live to find out for myself. But is it really worth it? i respect the XBOX community and group of players but i find this hard to believe because the group of players i play with on PS3 and some of the people i have played against are pretty good. Would the switch be worth it and is it something that will help my game or hurt it?

I play on both consoles, with PS3 being my preferred console. It shows in my stats with my KDR is 1.77 on PS3 and 1.52 on XBOX. As far as which one is better? The game plays pretty much the same on both. Here's where I think the difference is, online service. PS3 is free and Live is like 60 bucks a year. XBOX people like to say that theirs is better and that's why they pay. But really I've had more issues with XBOX Live than PSN. I'm also a Playstation Plus subscriber, and compared to live its so much more useful. I don't have to download updates and patches when I turn my PS3 on, it has an automatic download option. So, I have it set to download anything I may need in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping. Totally worth 60 bucks a year just for that feature.

Thanks for your feedback as I am familiar with both networks neither really gives me much trouble. But I am speaking of the competition level mainly.

Well, PS3 you run into a kid just about every lobby. Xbox, you still run into them, but not as frequent. That is the only difference.

These type of threads are not allowed on IPC. They always lead to trouble.

This debate has happened hundreds of times.

There are talented players on both. XBL has more players so it has a larger talent pool. For this reason only can the argument be made that there is more competition on XBL. On a case by case basis I'm sure you will always find a player that is better than another.
