why prestiging?

As a beginner I read allot of tips about playing COD MW3 but I still don't understand the benifit of prestiging.

At lvl 80 you have unlocked all guns and perks. I don't have the need of an extra custom class and unlocking gear of perk is not enough for me. the first two token I've used to unlock an gun but all of a sudden I play terrible with that gun that I wish that I have unlock another gun.

Another reasson for my thinking not to prestige the next time is that I really feel like a nood when I see at the end of a game that someone at lvl 34 has a better score then me.As a beginner I read alot of tips about playing COD MW3 but I still don't understand the benifit of prestiging.

Well, in my opinion, I find it more fun to prestige not just to say......"hey i'm a prestige 10".... no, I do it because it keeps the fun of the game in me....In other words to kind of challenge myself to do better. And I don't wanna sit at level 80 for a year. Plus it keeps the fun of the game from keeping on ranking up, but one annoying thing is re-achieving your "Goals/Challenges" every time you prestige.

I'm on my second prestige, almost on my third.
It's just something to do.
Once I reach 10 I'll make all my weapons perfect.
Then I'll buy the next game they make.

I prestiged twice and had enough. Sometimes I think trying to rank up all guns to 31 and all pro perks is better than going through ranks.

I only prestiged to get custom classes. Im 3rd prestige level 80 an have all 10 custom classes. So i really have no reason to prestige anymore.

I do it because its so much more challenging, and at the end I can tell myself," I ran that marathon and didnt give up!" Currently on MW3 im 4th prestige level 50. I even still play black ops every now and then because I haven't reached the max (sitting @ 13th prestige lvl 40 something.)

But it all depends on the person! If u like the challenge do it. If you just want the guns, then don't!

Don't let anyone persuade you either way! It's your game play it how you want!

In MW3 the perk to prestiging is the prestige tokens. If you are content with 5 classes then you have no reason to prestige as your reward is useless. Also if you dont care about getting all of the titles and emblems, then there is no need to prestige except for being able to say that you are a 10/80

When i'm at level 80, i feel like i'm not making any more progress. There is the new class of challenges that open up when you prestige the first time, but nothing extra after that. The titles and emblems are nice looking, though. I'm on prestige 6 now, and I will be going to 10, but won't be resetting my stats. They're too sexy looking to erase

I spend a LOT of time playing and I feel like I'm not working toward anything if I don't prestige, I've got plenty of time to level up and work on challenges before a new installment comes out anyway so why not?

I didn't prestige for a LONG time in bops, because I absolutely hated the idea of doing it all again. But after so long I was completely bored with it and needed the challenge.

I know a lot of people that never prestige and it really doesn't mean anything either way. all depends on what you're looking to get out of the game for yourself.
