Updates not doing anything?

So I thought the 1.07 update was going to address the lag comp disadvantage for the host. Well you know what? I did it yesterday and it didn't do shit! It still lags down the host, I could tell instantly when I became the host and after the update the only difference I noticed was that the grenade launchers sound better. Really?

Can't IW just use the same lag comp as they had in MW2? I mean they didn't do much of anything else. Better yet, use whatever Treyarch used in BLOPS, because I'm totally sick of this lag comp shit!

Also found out that the guns that you open up to have open from the start using prestige tokens don't carry over all the stuff you earn for them after you prestige, I felt stupid going all the way to gold camo only to find I have to re-earn all the stuff. Total bullshit. I won't waste my time getting that stupid gold cammo again. Not that I actually care about the camo, I just wanted to have my hybred sight, and perks still there.

Saw my first confirmed booster yesterday too, and promptly smoked their asses. Although as boring as this game gets in the upper levels I actually hope to see more boosters, as I think that will be the only thing that keeps the game intresting to me anymore.

Did I mention that it gets boring up in the level 70 range? Yes it does, 80 levels is far too many to slog through, they should have kept it at 50.
Also the prestige emblems are boring as well, not much time or imagination was put into that at all.

I've made my mind up that I won't buy another COD if IW makes it. Treyarch yes, IW not a chance.

The lag comp is frustrating. I had to turn my internet connection down but now I don't have any problems

This is weird. I haven't had any issues with lag. But maybe its because i haven't been playing frequently enough to notice. Enjoy!

Very rarely do I have lag issues anymore.........hopefully it stays that way.

I have noticed that during the game now I dont' have the lag that I did at launch........until I become the host, then it sucks. It is so bad that I can tell the instant it happens. Everything will be rolling along fine until the host leaves then I become the host and the game starts lagging it's ass off.

Unbelievable that they keep saying to address the issue, and after downloading the patch that is specifically for the issue, it is the same. I feel like I'm having smoke blown up my ass.

For the gun thing, I guess I was nieve since I knew that when you prestige all you keep is the emblems, but I was under the impression that when you used a token to unlock a weapon from the start, that the weapon stayed at the perk level and all the attachments you opened on it stayed open. This is not the case. You have to re-earn all that stuff.

I told my wife that MW3 is like methedon for a heron addict, it really helps you kick the COD addiction. To me BLOPS was litterally like crack! I had to play it pretty much every day. This game I find myself wondering what is on TV....

What the hell is the lag and then it says server timed out? Puts my whole team out of the game and back to the pre game lobby?

I found that the last update did help with lag for me. And the new game modes are cool too. I don't know, I really like the game but I hated Black Ops. I think the host still pays a price with lag comp though because I can tell when it happens to me. I think when the server drops the game the host dashboarded.
