I've been wondering about this for quite sometime, why is the Kill/death ratio SO important to some people? Does that make them good players? I hardly think so, I've seen people with a 0.90 K/D ratio and they kick butt and get MOAB's as if they were getting a cookie from a cookie jar.

So...why is that statistic even there? Can anyone try to explain it from their view?

I don't think it means much. Some people feel that it's gospel though. My KDR is not that great but I don't run out and get like 1-25 and lose the game for my team either. Objectives are much more important if you ask me.

Some people are just able to do horrible one game, then dominate the next. Its not all that important in my case. Its just there to state wheter the player has more kills than deaths, and vise versa. Teamwork is way more important in winning than just sheer killing sprees.

It tends to do with consistency. If you have a decent KD (ex, 1.50+) it shows that you play well each game and not just here and there. Thats how you go negative on KD. Overall it doesn't really matter. Some kids are just weirdos and take COD to the head cause they have nothing else to worry about.

It all depends on what game mode ect people play. Someone with a high K/D in that play mostly modes like domination just shows that they dont play the objective and have absolutely no team playing ability. Where as a high k/d for people that play only TDM shows some kind of "skill" when they play

When I play objective game types my KDR is almost shit, but I'm the one trying to capture HQ dominate flags, capture and defend the flag. When I play TDM then it's all about KDR to me. But I mostly play Objective anyway.
