Short Version: Video evidence or players having over 3 Pointstreaks possible. See video at bottom between 1:00 and 1:10. Thoughts?

Longer Version:

Ok so I was rewatching a bunch of MW3 videos over the weekend as well as checking out the MW3 forums and noticed something interesting.

Someone over on those forums (who was accurate with every other piece of information they posted as far as I could tell by watching videos) was claiming that you could earn 3 Assault rewards, then switch to Support and earn 3 Support rewards and have a total of 6 Pointstreak rewards to call in.

At first I wanted to call Bull, but then I was watching the "Tango Down" multiplayer gameplay that I posted below and noticed starting at the 1 minute mark, you can see that they have a reward earned and then 3 grayed out ones.

I can just imagine someone now starting with Support, getting a UAV, Ballistic Vests, and AUAV then switching over to Assault and using those Pointstreaks to help them get their Assault streak.

Thoughts?

I would assume they are greyed out because they haven't been earned yet.

Yea I figured the same. The interesting part is that there is one filled in and 3 more grayed out for a total of 4.

I'm pretty sure thats the case. I really doubt you're allowed to have more than 3 PS's. But since they do cycle I'm sure the 4th grey'd out PS you saw was just the starting over point after getting the last PS.

That's an interesting theory but in other gameplay videos from COD XP where people got Deathstreaks, they were applied just like MW2 where you don't select them when you've "earned" it (haha), it just happens.

I would think this too, but then I have the other video of someone rolling over and it didn't add an icon.

I think it's the result of earning Pointstreaks then switching packages. For example, earning CUAV in Support, then changing to Assault. You won't lose that CUAV so it will still be in the icons, and there will be the 3 greyed out icons you haven't earned yet from Assault.
