Dont worry, If you have pre-ordered at GameStop all you have to do is go to GameStop and tell them you would like to switch pre-orders to the Harden Edition when it becomes available

okay so i went in and preordered mw3 in like mid july and just said "i'd like to preorder mw3" and she said "okay that will be $64." and she never asked what edition i wanted so i just assumed there was only one edition. how do i know which edition i am going to get?

@ShadySLAYER666 Did you go to GameStop, because all you have to put down is $5 for MW3 and the MW3 Hardened Edition is not announced yet. Check GameStop.com sometime next week

GS told me that they will call or email once the get different editions. I havent checked yet to see if I can upgrade.
