Default What I think would make MW3 better than previous COD games

I first started playing COD games last year with MW2 and I had to say I was pretty impressed with the gameplay until noob tubing became incredibly popular. Then Black Ops came along ushering in the most least diverse COD multiplayer to date. In MW2 there was OP guns, the UMP, Spas-12, Tar-21, etc. In BO Treyarch attempted to make the game balanced, but obviously Treyarch has no idea what they are doing and their way of balancing is making everything overpowered. The removal of stopping power seemed to be a good idea, but showed to be the opposite since sleight of hand came back to the perk 2 section. Sleight of hand pro is almost a necessity in BO unless you have a 4 green bar connection or have superhuman reaction time. Most of the assault rifles kill in just 3 shots, with very high ROF, and then theres the M14 and FAL which kill in 2-3, but unless you have great connection on your side, you are at a disadvantage. Also there is the M16 and G11. The M16 only gets 1 burst kills at a certain range if all shots hit and the time between bursts make it much less effective than other assault rifles, but with the G11 the high rof and time between bursts makes it a bit more effective. So, my opinion on AR's in BO is that the ones that are used are OP with high ROF and 3 shot kills. The Smg's have basically the same ROF and damage as the AR's, but with a ridiculous range drop making the AR's so versatile and SMG's almost pointless to use unless you want a challenge. Then theres the LMGs which have shitty starting clips besides the m60 and shitty extended mags besides rpk and m60. 60 bullets, Really? When i use an lmg i want close to 100 for tons of kills without the need to reload at the cost of moving slow. Shotguns=Crap, so many times have I barrel stuffed with a stakeout and got a hit marker. Snipers=crap too, They get hit markers way too often and especially with the sway of the l96 i expect 1 hit kills from the waist and up. The introduction of Ghost removes the sacrifice of stopping power to have cold blooded that was present in mw2. This completely unbalances things because now that stopping power is built in BO you can have cold blooded too. Also because of movement of perks, you can now have marathon lightweight while keeping the power of your guns without sacrificing power because there isn't stopping power. With Ghost being such a popular perk, everyone uses the LAW or Strela-3 which makes your hard earned chopper gunners or gunships useless because it isn't to hard to shoot them twice with multiple people going for Ghost Pro. They could've at least added extra flares for these killstreaks to drop. I say alot of things in the long ass post, but to sum it all up I'll say this: bring back stopping power because it balances the game because you cant make completely OP perk combos with it.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head...Treyarch has only made two previous call of duty games, so they have absolutely no idea what they're doing...lol

If everything was "OP'd" then wouldn't that create balance?

And sorry to inform you, but fourzerotwo already announced there is no stopping power.

mw3 needs a perk system that balances each other out. For example in BO if you are using ghost you shouldnt be allowed to use a silencer attachment on your gun. if your using flak jacked you shouldn't be allowed to use explosives. just some simple things like this would help stop the campers. Also just go back to regular 3,5,7 killstreaks. Also can we please have juggernaut back please thats all i want is juggy and stopping power back

LMFAO KID!! you start off by talking about balance then u say u want juggernaut back?!?!?!?! thats the most over powered perk in cod next to commando

Just curious but whats the point of having ghost without a silencer? Unless you have pro and its for avoiding air support?

As soon as you fire you will pop up on their radar and makes ghost pointless.... unless you want ghost to be for people that only stab or use tomawhawks?

Juggernaught and stopping power do not need to be put back in the game.

There is a classic TDM playlist that uses just the 3-5-7 killstreaks. At this point, COD is not going back to just the 3-5-7, as that would be heading in the opposite direction that IW/Treyarch would want to go.

It has been confirmed that Stopping Power is NOT in MW3. And if I were a betting man I would say that means Juggernaut is not either.

I agree with a lot of that.. The M16 is ridiculously OPed. I think what 3arc should have done was to hire military consultants that could attest to the stopping power of weapons. The whole reason the US army went looking for another weapon a few years back (and tested among other things: the SCAR-H, and various calibers of rounds) was to find something that the soldiers could use to drop bad guys a little faster. 5.56x45mm NATO just doesn't cut it. Medal of Honor (at least campaign mode) was such a beautifully crafted and true to life gaming experience because of the use of military consultants. It might be in their interest to look into that for future titles

Thats good to know @Da_Fino. if they hire Army consultants.... that isnt necciserily gonna make the game balanced is it.... not unless all guns IRL are balanced to make war FARE (see what i did there ^^).

true, but it would be dumb to have every gun be as powerful as every other gun.... an AK-47 has better stopping power than an m-16.... you can't get around that. Same with Sniper rifles.... higher caliber bullets which result in OHKs so... the game will never be truely "balanced" and nor should it be in the sense of weapons being unrealistically powered.
