I originally signed in with my facebook account on my pc and just skipped the traditional sign up process. My current problem is I now bought Tapatalk on my iPhone to use at work so I can participate in the forums and I don't have a traditional login to sign in with. Is there any way I can switch over my account so I can use Tapatalk? I also previously tried using the forgot password/username route but it didn't recognize my email address. Thanks!

Update: I did a search and just saw the article by NuckFuggets on not using Facebook to sign in the first time. I didn't know about this previously, my apologies.

No if you use Facebook to connect. You simply just need to go to edit your password from the website first so you can assign yourself a password.

No it provides some weird proxy email. You would want to change your email as well if you want notifications sent to you.

Okay, I am assuming the change password option is under my control panel. I don't see it though. I don't know what the heck is going on? I also tried to change my email and it just brings up a Facebook permission. When I log in it just disappears. I guess I may have to create a new account?

Okay, since I don't have a current password to enter it will not let me create a new password. I have tried to use my facebook password but that would not work. Any other options or should I just make another account since I am new anyway?

That doesn't work either. It was worth a try though.

Update: The problem is fixed! Here is how I did it.

Step 1- On the change password link you sent me it had the default app email address on it.

Step 2- Copy and pasted address and then I entered the proxy address under lost password recovery on the main site.

Step 3- I received the reset info and login information on my email. I then logged back on with my new password. Clicked your change password link and entered my new info and also changed my email address.

Step 4- Everything works now.

Side Note- I was unable to even see a link to change my password until I changed my account over and I was also unable to change my email. Now that my account is switched the Change Password option has appeared.
