A sub forum under the general section, for debating and such.
For instance, only intellectual posts and legit issues for debating should be posted under this section, and it should be moderated regularly to insure there is no immature kids posting silly responses that make no sense.

I think unless we were debating about pointless things like gaming, or what gun is the best in MW3, this could lead to some fierce debates about real world issues such as politics, etc. The problem with this is that forum rules state:

"Controversial Threads
This rule is in effect to prevent controversial threads. This includes but not limited to the following:

- Political
- Drugs
- Sexual Orientation

If it's not listed above but is a controversial subject it is included. If you are breaking the spirit of this rule you will be given an infraction as the rules state."

In all honesty I like the idea, but I could definitely see how it could lead to problems and controversy which the above rule is in effect to prevent.

We won't add this section as stated in the rules. We tried to do this before and it never works out well. Feelings get hurt and members get angry. Nothing good comes of it.

If we weren't a gaming site, perhaps but we have chosen to stay away from these kind of topics.

Thankfully. I'm so happy there's nothing like that here. We have a very active and engaging community of people as it is with plenty of useful discussion without bringing up controversial or nerve touching topics which a sub-forum like that would encourage.
