One suggestion I would like to make is about links. I don't think every link should be deleted. Now I understand that this is your forum and you don't want people here to drop IPC (Which I think is totally crazy for this forum is awesome). But little clan forums have no chance against a big forum like IPC.

So, take the rule about YouTube videos. Lets say you cannot make a link until you have 25 posts. That rules out any person who comes, makes a topic about their clan, and then never comes again.

But, once 25 posts are achieved, I think it is clear that someone will stick around. So they should be allowed to make links.

The only links that are not allowed ever are links to other big CoD forums like IPC and advertisements.

Right now, the rule about no links kind of bugs me for I wish I could post a few links about my clan.

I think links should be allowed but they should be very limited.

Clans, sources, game info.... Stuff like that. Only other large CoD forums should not be posted.

If its advertising, its not allowed.

If its a video, as long as its in the correct section on the forums, they are allowed AFTER 25 posts.

Private message me the link you have that you have a question about and I will tell you if its ok or not.

You can post links to other big sites... we're friends with a lot of the cod sites. But it has to be on topic.

You can't just come in and create a topic and say:

Here's my clan site, check it out. You can post that kind of thing in the clan recruiting forum sure. But you can't just create a post in the black ops forum with a link to yoru clan saying "here's my clan". That adds no value to the site.

We weren't big overnight... we grew to be this big and not once did I go posting links on other websites to get members. Not saying you can't do that, if you want members use our Recruiting forum.

Again if a link adds value to a topic, we don't have an issue. But if you're like "Check out my site" and put a link, there's no value to that kind of post.

I do not do that. I posted a topic about my clan and I put it into the correct board. Yet, when I posted a link to the clan website in that topic, it was automatically deleted by a moderator.

That's what I'm getting at. But it can also apply to a lot of other links.
