COD Black ops Sever is not available (2/24)

Is anyone else having this problem ? when i try to go into Multiplayer hit Xbox Live a message comes up saying:

NOTICE
The Call ops Duty: Black Ops sever is not available at this time.
Please try again later or visit (their website) for updates.

Is anyone else having this problem ? i understand its not a problem but thought id share, so if it is happening to other we can talk about it (2/24/11)

The servers have been on Defcon 3 for a while now. Seeing @cquick97 mention Defcon 2 doesn't look good. From Call of Duty: Black Ops status page:

Defcon 2:
All Call of Duty: Black Ops servers are online and fully operational, but we have received reports of network outages. Some uses may experience limited connectivity in some regions until the outside networks are back online. This has been verified as a routing problem at the internet backbone service provider level, which is outside of the control of Treyarch or Activision. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will update status as new information is received.

I JUST SAW A TWEET SAYING SERVERS ARE PARTIALLY DOWN AS TREYARCH BANS MODDERS AND HACKERS. THIS REPORT HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED.

haha wow i never saw that before. I can at least get into games now, but im lucky if i can play a entire game with out getting kicked off, the worst part is, is that when that happens the game i played doesn't count, nor does the achievements i might have unlocked. sucks alot. lol

At least there aren't really any multiplayer achievements for Blops. You still get your CP/XP for the game that you earned up until the game got disconnected, you just don't get any match bonus, and the game will not count towards your win streak.

yea i know that. but say i had 100/200 kills with a gun and i got say 5 kils with that gun after i disconnect i still have 100/200 kills

Hmm... that shouldn't be the case. I mean I know the XP and CP you earn during the matches count immediatly, but maybe you don't get credit for your kills with a weapon until the game completes. Honestly I would be surprised if this was the case. I will check this tonight. I'll just have to keep track of how many kills I have before each game, and I will wait until I get a game disconnected -- if I can get on at all, even when the servers are on Defcon 3 I have trouble even connecting.

Yea I only noticed it once, its like the game didnt even happen. and it only did this when it kicked me off and went back to the NOTICE screen. I have been discounted from a game and still had my kills count but in this case, no.
