    Default Camping

Camping is one of those things that I know everyone complains about, but does themselves at one point or another. So I want to complain about something more specific.

I think there is a huge difference between camping, locking down a high traffic area, or boarder patrolling sometimes using claymores.

What drives me nuts are the players who choose to sit in corners, or at random locations that maintain no strategic advantage except for as a surprise attack. (Especially when they are just wielding dual shotties).

I think its completely understandable if you are able to secure a position where you know a war is going to occur. I think its completely understandable to retreat when you have air-support and you are trying to get to the higher killstreak. I don't think the top players have to do that as much as the younger players but i still understand.

Instead what I find is that there are these weak-ass players that just camp it out both on objective based games and non-objective based games. Its frustrating when you walk around the corner after slaughtering 3 or 4 guys only to get killed by someone behind a plant or laying down in the grass.

    What do you think?

to 'camp' at a high traffic area is what you should do. its taking advantage of a tactical area, that people arent smart enough to stop using, theres always a way to stump those kind of people who use that... stop going the way that theyve got patroled and stop whining about them camping -.-..... there is one camping and only one, where people stand in one building or postition with a tact insert, OMA and a sniper/ other long range weapon.

Absolutely. Legitimate 'campers' are essentially just clean up men set up at the ends of long hallways or at the tops of choke points with a good scope, picking off the targets the advancing teammates cannot or did not get, while furthering their own killstreak. The less admirable campers are the kids who will go prone directly in the center of a pathway with a SPAS-12 and won't move until you semtex them.

Agreed. Camping around major areas where the objective is, is a stratagy. Otherwise its just being an ass.

I play a lot of 3rd person TT. And hence in Team tactical, all of the gametypes are objective based. Now, the camping I do, happens to be vantage points, where I can see 1 objective, but most of the time I can see at least 2.

I'm not doing it to be an asshole. My teammates have it like this: Ex. In Domination, 1 player for every flag, and another one who is Oscar Mike and is usually a rushing class so they can go to any flag and flank for support.

But in Team Deathmatch, no, I don't usually camp, unless it's a high traffic area. But I usually move from place to place even then.

So you think you're a funny guy, eh?

I agree. There's a huge difference between consistently patrolling an area and just sitting in the grass aiming down your sights.

Camping is my specialty and I agree with your words. I don't always sit in a corner for the whole game. I kill a couple and if I hear someone coming towards me, I hide behind some cover and then bam! I welcome the "you're a camper" remarks at the end of the game cause it makes me realize that I did my job.
