I believe that you can also get on top of the crane that is off to the side of the map. You have a clear view and can see most of the map.

You can. I was shot by someone on it but immediately was able to get him right back as he has the whole map to scale so it's easy to snag a payback.

I find it best to just hang back and watch the corners and move up with your team, even though it always seems to be me who gets picked off in a crowd.

its real easy to get on top of the crane which you use to get into the northern building. Once you get on it, go to the right till there are 2 beams on each side of you running diagonal. you then vault onto the right one and go right up on top of it.

or if you are coming from the north you have a painters platform that you could jump off of onto the beam that runs out to the crane
