I'll probably end up giving Black Ops 3 a try at some point, but with the current movement system I'm not really looking forward to it, and I've said that before I even played any of the Call of Duties. I remember sometime ago, I played several matches of MW2 and I wasn't that much into it, it was okay, but I wasn't big into multiplayer at that point either. Then my friends talked me into playing Black Ops, at first it was like ehhhh, then I got pretty decent with it and it consumed my weekends. But there was something special about the simplicity of Black Ops and MW3 that I haven't really felt since I played those 2 games.

I want to be able to enjoy Black Ops 3, but maybe I'm just too old school to really enjoy it. And I understand what Treyarch, Infinity Ward and Sledge Hammer are attempting to do, they want to bring in new consumers just like any other business and for that I respect them.
I agree, I've only played bo 1 and 2 in the franchise so I can't compare earlier games. Bo1 was probably I think the next FPS I picked up since goldeneye way back on the n64. And I loved it ( bo1 ) I was hooked, there was just something about it that kept me playing. When I first saw sight of Bo 2 I was eager to play, but man I hated it, it just didn't feel right at all, to me it was like a totally different game nothing like a sequel.

I played it on and off for awhile and honestly I really got into it I accepted the differences and the more I played it there were a lot of things I preferred than what bo1 had, but like u say bo1 still has that nice simplistic feel to it. bo3 should be nothing like AW. It should combine elements from 1 and 2 with obviously a few extras, being a sequel to those games surely it should have nothing to do with AW or its elements.

I think they should keep all this stupid super jumps and stuff to AW make that its own little series to cater for different types of players. I haven't played ghosts or AW just from videos I've seen etc it just doesn't look that 'fun' to me, so I haven't bothered buying either, but with Bo3 I don't know.....from what I've seen it looks very similar to bo2 so maybe I'll just have to get used to the 'newer' elements maybe.

Yeah, Ghosts was fun. Except for trying to knife them bloody Sat-Com things.

I'd disagree, I actually think AW is better even though I'm not too big on AW. Ghosts really felt bland to me just like MW3 did. I feel as though Infinity Ward has been trying to recapture what they had in MW2 but it's just not working out.

Anyone else starting to get a little excited? I really enjoyed BO2, so I'm hoping this is at least a little fun....

    (At least it ain't AW)
