Robert Bowling (FourZeroTwo) has publicly declared his resignation from Infinity Ward and already the community acts as if a war has been won.
Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision.

Are we going through this again? Someone who has been the face of one of the most popular franchises in video games and you publicly celebrate their resignation? I love how the majority of people feel they could manage a community of several million better than Josh Olin (JD 2020) or Robert Bowling (FourZeroTwo).
This isn’t just some hobby that they did for years… this was their jobs. Day in and day out they worked to give you the best experience they could. They’re one person at a company of, I believe, thousands of employees.
They can’t control everything. They are employees at large corporation given directive from executives and management. You are absolutely out of your fucking mind if you don’t think they go to bat for the community in their meetings with what we want. But at the end of the day they are employees of a large corporation and you support what your company decides to do regardless of if you agree with it personally (so long as it’s an ethical decision).
Robert has spent 7 years being the punching bag for IW and Call of Duty. If you think you can hold a candle to the job he’s done, by all means submit your resume. I would love to see you respond to EVERY SINGLE PERSON that you claim is his job to do… quite frankly you would fail miserably if you even think that’s possible.
Done with my rant, my $0.02.
