IPC Updates

In the following update on IPC, there will be 2 minor and 1 major subjects.
I am asking everyone to please read this to better help you understand more about I Play COD and its way around here.

First off, many have been seeing a large amount of spammers lately.
Yes, it is the holidays and advertising reps are out and about on the internet to advertise. Most likely this is their job, so do not get upset and bash on them for posting here. If you yourself run into a spammer that posts about cellphones, video games and other electronics, ect., or any other type of spammer, here is the following method to best help the site to fight these people off.

* When you look in a thread and see that the first post or any post at all is a spam post, please DO NOT get on them. I ask that you inform them of the infraction that awaits them if they continue.

After that, please use the Report button. Whether it is on a thread or a post(s), myself or another staff member will see it and we will take care of it.

If they continue, mention one of the staff.
Example:
@FC
@NuckFuggets
@America

Even if we can not get to out email right away or if we pass over the email with the reported post/thread, a mention will allow us to go directly to it as well.

-With any merchandise spammer, they will be banned immediately.
To any other spammer, if they do not listen to you, the IPC community, they will be given an infraction. Here is a link to the IPC rules with a section to better explain how infractions work. But in other words, follow the rules to not be on the staffs bad side.

Another issue, if someone posts about not like Black Ops for any reason at all, DO NOT BASH THEM!
I will give infractions as soon as I see anyone getting on someone else about their opinion. Be mature and ask why. Fathom their response and discuss. If you disagree, let it go!

Also, if you find anyone under the 50 post rule and they have put up videos of gameplay, links to Youtube channels or advertising link, use the report button as well. Inform them of the rules and use the Mention feature.


I Play COD Tournaments.
Yes, the IPC FFA tournaments are coming back, again.
Each tournament is a FFA style tournament and is played in Black Ops.

Along with the thread to the rules, here is a link to the Tournament Discussion Thread.

Please learn and follow the rules of the tournament and of the threads themselves.

Every Monday and every other Friday there will be a FFA tournament.
The tournament will start at 7 EST. Please message or befriend IPlayCODFC on XBL to give assurance of your attendance.
If you sign up, please be on prior to the 7 est starting time.

And do not forget to check the Calendar for upcoming events such as these.



Custom Signature Request Thread

This will be quick.
To request a signature, you MUST HAVE AT LEAST 50 POSTS!
Simple, yet many can not fathom this for some reason.

There are now two threads about this topic, the Custom Signature Request Thread itself, which is only used to request sigs!
And the new CSR Discussion Thread.
The CSR Discussion Thread is for asking questions, talking about your new sig, talking about others sigs that were obtained from here.
If you post in the Request thread itself, your post will be deleted.



I just want to thank all of IPC for doing a great job lately!
Many have been helping the staff greatly and we do appreciate this much.
Keep it up! The first year went extremely well and we want another good one!
