So you can see how I would think that you still didn't know that the 25 post rule doesn't have anything to do with links or why the links advertising other sites in the recruitment threads are removed. They are removed because of the "Advertising Links" rule.

None of the staff have ever assumed that that the 25 post rule pertains to advertising links. The "advertising links" rule and "25 post vid" rule are two separate rules and all the staff are very clear on this.
As far as what action the staff takes...well...we enforce the rules.
If an unauthorized link is posted, we remove it.
If someone breaks a rule. We give a warning. If they persist we give an infraction. If it escalates they will be banned. That's it. Of course sometimes we have to take quicker action with members that do things more heinous and just ban them right away, but that is rare.

That is just not true. You can go back to your thread and see that I did not say anything about the 25 post rule for links. I did say we do not allow unauthorized links because of our Advertising rule, and we don't. That is why your link was removed, and I was correct in doing so.

I think this is my fault. I didn't clarify this from the beginning of this thread and I should have. The point of this thread was just to answer any questions you had about what was and what wasn't allowed in the rules. The rules are
not open to debate. The rules are at the sole discretion of the owners and admin of the site. That being said we do have a
Suggestions & Feedback section for you guys to post up your ideas. The Admin here are very cool guys and work well with the members. I'm sure they would be very open to hearing what you have to say.
I understand that many of our members have been members, moderators and admin on other forums. So have I. You guys have some experience and ideas of how you would do things differently. That is completely understandable. With 26,000 members, this site is huge and being so is different. It's not like the other forums that I've been on or ran. It doesn't run on donations or membership dues. It's a business in itself and is completely self sufficient. Because of this it has to be ran like one so they do have to make some tough decisions sometimes.
The entire point of the thread was the clarify the 25 POST RULE FOR VIDS.
Wow did it ever get off track. I think we have made it very clear, over and over that the 25 post rule does not apply to links. That is all we were trying to accomplish. I think this thread has gotten about as constructive as it's going to get. To prevent it from getting any further off track I'm going to close it.
