Pure speculation on my part, but if I had to guess, I would think it would be the mosin-nagant. The reason I say that is because it's one of the most common WW2 firearms that's still purchased and collected today. They can be had relatively cheap, with lots of cheap ammo available. If you look at it from the perspective that America is being attacked my its own drone armaments, at least one civilian would have a mosin nagant that they would be fighting back with (if the developers wanted to take that approach). The only other one that I could think would be logical, would be the 1911. It's been proven for over 100 years so far, I don't see its production slowing down any time within the next 13. Even if it's nothing more than a scene where woods (either as an old man, or in a flashback) is attacked and happens to have his personal 1911 on him.
