Black Ops II Photo Leaked

I woke up this morning hoping to get a look at the newest 'Classified' image on the Call of Duty® website, but possibly found something better.



This is possibly the Box Art for Black Ops 2. It could be legit as this is the first time we have seen this variation of '2' on the title. What do you think?

The case seems pretty odd. Resembling more of a PS2 case, or perhaps it is just a display case. As well as the Xbox 360 logo is not the new one, but rather, the old one.

However, the person in the front image does resemble a high resolution of the same person seen in the background of callofduty.com, and various posters. Check it out.



With this evidence there is almost no doubt it is legit. However, you never know, we'll have to wait and see.

"Prenota subito" means "book now", and, "solo per esposizione" means "only for display" in Italian. For those who were wondering.

UPDATE - David Vonerhaar tweeted to BlackHawkLex, who wrote an article about this information. In the article, BlackHawkLex had shown a screenshot of what he thought was a possible Black Ops 2 Screenshot. Vonderhaar tweeted back at him saying it was a screenshot of Ghost Recon. HOWEVER. Vonderhaar never mentioned anything about the Black Ops 2 Box Art. I'm sure he would've said whether it was fake or not. Just something else to think about to add to the legitimacy of the image.

As of now, we have yet to see the newest 'Classified image' on the Call of Duty® website. I am consistently refreshing the website to try and get the image/video to a thread as fast as possible, keep an eye out as I will have the information as soon as it is released.

Evidence continues to mount that a Call of Duty: Black Ops sequel is oscar mike.

First there was an Amazon listing. Then there was an odd blackballing. Then, there was what looked to be a Black Ops 2 teaser poster surfaced —after that, a GameStop teaser website. Now?

Now, a photo depicting the game's box art has hit the internet. The box art does resemble the silhouetted art on the teaser site; however, it is of a higher resolution.

The box shows the European version of the game. In Italian, the front says, "Prenota Subito" or "Reserve Now". In the corner, it adds notes, "Only for Display."

The photo does send off all sorts of warning bells: there's a convenient lens flare, which is a technique fakers use to pass off phony games; the game box looks like a PS2 case and not an Xbox 360 box; the box doesn't show the Xbox 360's new banner, but rather, the old one. It could just be this store's mock up.

Yet, the font matches up with the new Call of Duty font for the new CoD, and the picture does depict a high-resolution image of the image teased on the GameStop page. And that image shows Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

Theres always so many "leaked" photos and videos of the treyarch games before it releases. I swear they do this on purpose for publicity

The picture doesnt match up with the case. It looks like someone copied a poster or something.

All i know is, when it comes out, we will all be able to look back at this photo knowing the answer to the question...is it real ?
My opinion is yes, but thats just guesswork.

Posted this in the Black Ops 2 Thread 6 hours before this one, does this fall into the 'duplicate' thread rule?

Anyway, your source is better than mine. I put up my thread JUST as the image was leaked and not much speculation was given, such as the reasons why it may be fake. CharlieINTEL was the only one with the image at the time, I'll edit the thread to make it more informative and speculative.
