Da. I use a PC monitor hooked up to some stock Compaq computer speakers. I also sit like 3 feet away from my 19" screen. Anywho, when they are working (my coupling on the one section is more sensitive than a tender nipple) I can hear footsteps fine.

Plus I dont like 2 ear headsets. Feels weird. I can barely stand my comms headset.

There is some turtle beaches on their website that is for xbox and ps3 that are under 50 bucks and i saw one at walmart turtle beach for 30 bucks

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm debating between the tritton ax 120s and the turtle beach x11s.

I have the PX21's, great headset. Cost me £40 so not sure what that is in $$$.

The ones I found are refurbished though but they have a 90 day warranty which is pretty good. If they can last 3 months without breaking then they can last forever.
