Turtle Beaches?

So I was wondering, is it worth getting TBs? I mean, what makes them so different from any other kind of headphones ( Like SkullCandys for example ) besides the fact that it has a microphone.

They aren't headphones, they're headsets. (They have a microphone). They have the same effect of turning your TV volume as loud as you can but without the outside noise. They cancel everything else out (beside party chat if you want).

i personally love them. id definitely recommend getting a pair if you have the money. it will make you a 10x better player...well if you can determine where a sound is coming from that is

yeah ive heard they were really good cuz it plays the game through the headset not the tv but ive never tried them

Headset - Microphone = Headphones

So basically Turtle Beaches are made specially to cancel out sounds ( like the map sounds ) and amplify footsteps, shooting, ect.?

No, they cancel out everything outside your headset, like your Xbox noise, a TV in the other room, your mom calling for you, etc. so you can here what's going on in the game, and that only. They amplify the sound too, so it's louder and clearer.

I suggest buying turtle beaches 100%.
And buy the wired ones. I have never had a problem with them, and my friends all have problems with their wireless ones (plus the extensive battery usage). I see no need to go out and buy astros or any other more expensive ones. I own tb's and have used astros and I saw no difference in the sound quality of them.
It WILL make you a better player.

X11's are the best deal. $60 for a surround sound headset. Any other TB headset has the same quality of sound that you receive. Some do have a Bass Booster but I found that annoying and harder to pinpoint where an enemy was. Tritons and Astros are overpriced for a headset.
