The short version: Think of the game as a chess match. Remember it's a team game. If you lose a guy it's not always a bad thing unless you don't get the kill back. This is why I suggest in 4v4 gb's to run in 2 teams of 2 for rushing. For camping, you guys should have callouts and know who's watching what chokepoint. Watch the MLG matches on youtube. Those guys are constantly talking. That is called "real-time strategy," and those are the little things anyone can perfect without being a super accurate gun wizard!
Remember that in GB a WIN is a WIN. There is nothing "noobish." The best players are smart players. Use your setup to it's full potential. Use cover. Camp if you have to. Don't be afraid to use the holo or RDS to make sure you hit your target. In other words, use your "tryhard" setups because everyone else will be doing the same!
The bottom line is though- callouts & communication will make the fastest impact on improving your team.
