Do valve ever release a Trilogy?

Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2, TF2, just me that's noticed this? I mean, sure enough some games couldn't really be more innovative for a third but I've got loads of ideas for things like L4D3, maybe not so much portal or TF but still. Anyone got any other examples:P or even a reason?

You forgot Half Life 2. An no the dont ever. Its been commonly called Valve Syndrome in the gaming community. But if they were to do one i think it would be Portal 3. I think portal is the game that brings in the most money as far as merchandising.

Really the only game I play from them is L4D2, but yeah, there are a ton of cracks about how they can't count to three and how lazy they are. I don't know about revenue, but if I were to guess Half Life may be the one they make a third of if they do. They do have Half Life 2: Episode 2, which is practically like a third. I think they're going along with the whole, "can't count to three thing" lol.

i think they may be waiting for the wave of next gen consoles, apparently there is speculation valve is working on their own console?!

That reminded me of "VALVe time". They said the L4D2 DLC would be out by the end of summer 2011. Everything for L4D2 has been delayed. There are so many rumors about VALVe I have to go off of basic common sense and not what I'm told. Someone said there was going to be a third and forth one. I don't think so.

I don't see them making there own console. If DLC takes over a year a console may take ten. I could see them waiting for the next gen. consoles but nobody knows at this point.

They are making the classic Half-Life in 3D, it has a 3 in it, but not nearly the same thing

Since Valve are their own publishers, they do not need to rush anything.
