Skyrim won! No surprise there... best game in a long time, no doubt!

Hell yeah, those were the 2 i was positive on, Skyrim and MW3.

No surprise on Minecraft for Best Indie Game. I was kind of hoping BF3 would win Best shooter.

The award show was a bit better than last year.

Quite an improvement, what was the name of the host this time? Wan't he that guy from Chuck?

I ordered Skyrim from Gamefly. I want to see what the hype is about.

I was kind of hoping BF3 would win Best shooter.

The award show was a bit better than last year.

As was I... But due to the sheer popularity of MW3, BF3 didn't stand a chance.... Regardless of it being a better game (IMO)

Not gunna lie i was very very displeased at this awardshow.. not cause of the winners but because the host wasn't funny, at least 1/3 of the people there weren't even gamers and just cause they were invited to apear on a carpet. People never cheered for the awesome things and well i didn't feel the vibe. No one was like OH YEAH! or anything GameRelated. i felt displeased by the show.

OK, I just want to shoot back on one more thing here... How the hell did Bastion win Original Score and Song of the Year. I mean, Skyrim's main theme "Dragonborn" is one of the most epic video game songs I've ever heard... and the soundtrack as a whole is almost perfect. I don't see the hype for Bastion.

There may very well have been something better than the Skyrim theme out there, but it sure as hell wasn't Bastion. Grr.

Who cares who won the awards--the bigger thing was that gaming nerds got to witness The Black Keys perform That, in itself, is an achievement 10x better than what sorry game won Game of the Year which, in itself, is purely subjective to tastes that aren't shared by yours truly.
