Gunfight Tips?

Hi guys, Raptor here. I would like to ask more tips on how have a higher chance of winning gunfights?

These are what I know:

-Drop shooting

-Crouching and Standing repeatedly while shooting the target behind cover.

-Strafe-Jumping

-Head Glitching

-Adjusting your sensitivity

-Shooting before aiming (AIMING IS OVERRATED!)

Now, are there anymore ways of winning gunfights?

Well, the only thing I do is strafe a whole lot when it comes down to close-medium gun on gun action. I sporadically just move / jump around. I rarely drop shot, but that is also very effective. I have also known / seen people to do a makeshift dolphin dive by jumping towards you and then instantly going prone the moment the touch the ground.

Aiming isn't overrated. If you can not hit the other guy. Your going to loose every time

Well I ADS while firing...so I aim in the general direction and shoot before I zoom in.

I usually hipfire first and then ADS, that way I can decide whether or not I need to turn or sidestep depending on my enemies movements.

I also tactically reload a lot. A tactical reload is when you reload while you have over 1/3 mag left. Usually I will go prone behind something or crouch in a corner while I am reloading to avoid being crushed between a wall and an enemy.

Cover is everything. Standing behind crates, or slowing moving around corners will help if you cant fully get a lock on an enemy and need to reload. It also gives you time to look at your map if your enemy is shooting without a suppressor and get a better idea of where they are. Then when they stop shooting, pop up and get them.

When going into rooms or around corners, I will typically ADS so I can acquire a target easily if there happens to be one in there. Even if I dont enter a room and only run past I will look in.

When moving from cover to cover under gunfire, toss a flash/ stun/ grenade in their direction so you have a clearer window. I usually use Semtex so they cant toss it back, so I can possibly get a kill and because the dust form the explosion also doubles as a really short smokescreen.

I Always pre-aim before i turn a corner

I personally ADS before attempting to shoot. I use Stalker Pro instead of steady aim. I usually find, even with steady aim, hip-firing is inconsistent for me. Another tactic I try to use is reading my opponents. If I injure one and he runs off, I attempt to cut him off, while he isnt prepared. Having someone who plays with the support killstreaks also helps.

Get familiar with your guns effective range, so you can drop em in less bullets for mid range firefights...
