Turning off theater mode and joining a game with a ping under 70 seams to have helped my lag some what. What are your tips?

[Update] I have ended up turning off all of the ports that i forwarded and diabled UPnP in my routers settings. This has seamed to help alot. It has also ben sugested that if your router has Qos capabilities to put your PS3 or Xbox on the low priority list. Basically anything to degrade your connection. As soon as they fix the unfair lag compensation ill return my settings to what they were. Let me know if this helps if you decide to try it

not using wifi, using an ethernet cable instead

if lag compensation is what is affecting you as i assume you are stating.. then that means that you have "too good" of a connection and you actually need to start eating up your bandwidth to improve your lag.. stream a movie download a huge file anything like that..

if you see you are getting 4 bar connection that's what you need to do.. not open things up to actually improve your connection speed..

if you have under 3 bars then what you listed is what you want to try.. if you have 3 your best where you are

Did they remove it? Because I have noticed my K/D over past day has gone way up. And things seem to be going a lot smoother. Or maybe I am just playing with some very bad players.

On a side note I turned off my theater mode yesterday to see if lag issues improved and today I went 37-2 on Hardhat. Only when I went to my theater to add it to my vault did I remembered I had it off. I was

The most recent update has made my lag worse. Since the update I've not been able to get a connection that is very decent at all. It bounces all over the place. Nothing has changed on my network and it's horrible. And I don't know but the Xbox dashboard update may be part of it too, because since that update it takes like five minutes to sign in to a profile and I'm constantly being signed out for no reason. Ugh, it's so frustrating.

My lag seemed to be better last night after the latest update. When playing with friends on the East Coast last night it seemed to take a lot more bullets to kill but when I played with local friends it was pretty solid.

I've also noticed that since the update I have yet to see a clan tag with the button symbols. I guess with all the reports they finally just fixed it.

This seems Counter Intuitive to me.....I think you are saying that I will have LESS lag with a 3 bar connection than with a 4 bar connection.

At MY House,,,,,if someone is downloading a big file,,,,,,my internet Browsind is slowed significantly. You are saying that the XBox connection speed/lag is the Opposite of internet browsing?

I'm no IT guy,,,,,so please explain........
