Leveling Quickly -- Using Weapon Kill Challenges Optimally!

It has come to my attention that the commentator I referenced in my original post had his figures COMPLETELY wrong. In an effort to bring the freshest content to IPC as quickly as possible I didn’t double check the figures myself. Instead I completed my analysis based on faulty information from a commentator that I would have previously staked my life on if it came down to info pertaining to COD.

Accordingly, I have cleared out the strategy I previously posted. Just so we’re clear, the concept of not going all the way to maximize your weapon XP was sound, but the exact figures I previously discussed were inaccurate. It has been less than a day (at this point) since I originally posted the strategy so I am sure it hasn’t done any permanent damage to anyone’s multiplayer profile.

In any case, I want to apologize to all of IPC. In this instance I broke one of my cardinal rules and didn’t double check the data before I published everything. For that I am deeply sorry. The correct analysis will be posted tonight after I double check the figures I will confirm personally to be accurate.

I am requesting that a mod close this thread so as to not confuse people with the fact that the original strategy posted was based on faulty information. Thank you.

Ah thanks [MENTION=9022]THUMP3R[/MENTION]. Glad to be back at full speed finally! IPC looks as good as ever! More stats are always in the works. This one isn't just food for thought though, it will (or should) actually be useful to people instead of just being good-to-know info, which is how I'll keep it going forward.

its a shit load more xp once you factor in the weapon proficiencies. Each one has its own set of challenges for more xp.

My 5 cents worth... In just 4 1/2 hrs online, i'm up at Lv. 23 By MP5 mostly alone.... And hitting everyone you see alone rakes up assist points which help further. I'm still getting the hang of it. Again.

100% true! However, analyzing this to include xp earned from proficiencies would end up generating results that would be too vast and encompass far too many scenarios (since proficiency choice is based on individual preferences, which are difficult to quantify correctly) to post in a nice, concise form -- more to consider: overall kill challenge rewards, (which would vary based on where a player started using this strategy), assist challenges (again varying on when a player starts using the strategy + players' ratios of assists to sightings and assists to kills) -- lots to think about!!

Yes, oh dear God, yes! I guess its my birthing weapon for the time being. And i rake in a handful of XP from Ballistic Vest drops, too. My team loves me. ^^
