Girls and video games.

So I was reading something that caught my eye. It got me thinking, some of this stuff guys actually go through? Do they really think of us girls like that? This isn't even half of the quotes. There are still a butt ton on there. :X

Men will go nuts when there is a beautiful unobtainable girl who is into the same shit they are. Just being into the same stuff makes them more depressed because they would like to believe that the reason they are virgins is because they have nothing in common with female kind. Having gamer/'nerdy' interests only shatters this idea.

It threatens the idea that they are unique and good at something.There whole lives when they were made fun of at school for being socially awkward losers they could always say 'well at least I'm good at games'. They would turn to the games for comfort. A female being good at them, especially a attractive female destroys the bond that they felt with the games and how they separated them from the masses. It's desecrating holy ground. A ATTRACTIVE person who has many other things to offer ALSO being good at games? They don't want to believe it. And they will be in denial about it. They will also rage about this which really hurts no one but themselves.

In conclusion these types of males come with huge amounts of emotional baggage. At first they may claim to love gamer/nerdy girls but on the inside they are truly jealous of them. They may even have issues with wanting to be a woman, problems with the sexuality, and because of lack of experience problems in bed.

it really comes down to what girls play what, nearly all the really SHITTY gamer girls both in terms of attitude and gameplay capabilities, are devout to the halo franchise.

9/10 times i've encountered *attractive gamer girls its always the same story. "i'll kick your ass at halo." and they don't. end of story.

That person mainly is right about Halo gamer girls. I've encountered a few girls that are good on Halo. I'm not one of them.

We are talking about video games here. I myself as a Gamer do find it awesome/Annoying when gamer girls are playing.
A. For the fact that guys go APE SHIT when they hear a girls voice and then anyone who disses the girl becomes an instant White Knight.
B. Gaming takes a small percentage of skill the rest is wasted time buffing up how you play. Its like every day logic. If you understand the game mechanics then you can rock that shit to the bank.
And really who cares if you're a gamer girl.
Majority of the time its some chick playing on her boyfriends console.

i hate when im playing CoD and i can tell who the other girls are by the callsigns and emblems. it's always the fucking pink fruity shit! and to top it off, their clan tag is GRL or some shit. no one would know im a female unless they actually took the time to look at my profile and that's how it should be. im playing against other players, not genders.

And then some of these quotes, I actually agree with. Some girls do sicken me. I mean, I may be obnoxious but I can be obnoxious and still be good at the game and it's usually me just picking on my friends. I don't really flaunt the fact that I'm a female. I have a group of guys I game with and all ten of them treat me like a guy and understand my passion for video games is just as serious as theirs, probably more because I plan on going to school for game development. Although I am very cocky when it comes to beating a guy, just to prove them wrong about me.

Some of the girl gamers call themselves 'girl gamers' and demand attention. The other girl gamers don't do that and just go around and actually GAME.
Who cares if they are good at it, as long as they are not obnoxious.

Most are attention whores. I mean, who else than a girl gets to the idea to use a pic of themselves as avatar?

No offense to any of the girls on here for doing that. :x

That is usually how it works, Wolf. Most girl I run into just plan out suck bawl sacks but the few that I meet that are actually good, I take the advantage in becoming friends with them. The ones I actually enjoy playing with are in their late 20's early 30's with kids. I have yet to play with any girls from IPC so... I can't really throw out an opinion on them.

one of my best friends at school plays cod. she admits that she isnt good but she likes playing because she has fun. her clan tag is miss so and she has girly call signs. on occasion she will beat me, and idc.

Silent, I agree. A lot of the girls on MW2 do think they are too good to talk to any other girl. Like, they want all the guys attention. When that happens, I usually stay quiet or mute her.

And I guess it is kind of hypocritical about the girl thing but my GT is Miss Nek0 so..
And I usually toss around my call signs. It's usually something I worked really hard to get. Like, I run the binky/paci emblem only because that is a personal achievement.
