Battlefield 3 Coming In November, Designed to Take Down Call of Duty

ok one thing you guys dont seem to understand is that the BFBc and BFBC2 are completly different engines than those in regular battlefield games. personally i think COD is pretty much finished for any hardcore gamer unless infinity ward can pull something out of thier ass this time. unfortunately half of this community is too stupid to realize that. its time to move on. theres plenty of different shooters out there. i think thier doing the right thing in realeasing them around the same time. BF3 is gonna kick the shit out of cod. battlefield games are jus generally better. more balanced but at the same time they remain fun for years on end. to this day i still play bf2 frequently. and not to mention the use of vehicles and more team oriented games.end rant.

Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software need to bring somthing NEW to Call of Duty, or they are SCREWED! Like when I Play Black Ops for me it gets boring in like 2 hours, but then there are Zombies which is fun. They need to bring somthing like that into the game for the unannounced Call of Duty.

We really wont know if BF3 will take down COD until it comes out. Until you play the actually game no one really knows who will beat who.

I played BC2 and was unimpressed by what it had to offer. I liked it well enough and it was a change in pace. But the way it was built up to be a "COD killer" just brought my expectations higher. Then when I actually played the game for myself I was disappointed. I would really hate for that to happen with BF3

Yes. I argee but it fails.

Anyway, I going to try Battlefield 3. I never played the Battlefield series before(the only games i played from EA is NFS Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit(2010)) but i going to try it and see if i like it or not but im still looking foward to Modern Warfare 3 .

If your unsure about Battlefield 3, you probably should just rent It when its Comes out before buying it, because alot of people told me that they were going to buy Homefront because of all the hype about it, I never bought Homefront because I knew it would suck.

There actually wasn't that much hype about Homefront. They also never really said it was designed to beat COD. Therefore I found Homefront to be an enjoyable change in pace. It's not better than COD IMO but I didn't think it sucked by any means.

COD fans are hard to please. In fact most of them are never happy and many of them never play any other game without comparing it to their beloved. If you go though life comparing every game to COD you will always be disappointed. I don't mean that COD is the best game everrrrr. But if it is to you, and you try and compare other games to it you will never be satisfied.

But if you choose to only play one series of games thats your choice. You just miss out on a lot of other great games.

[MENTION=6458]bowski477[/MENTION] I wasn't Comparing Homefront to Call of Duty, The Reason why I think Homefront didnt do so great was because the story was not good, the ending was terribly and the graphics. I'm a COD Fan, but I don't think the COD Series is the best. In my opinion I think the Gears of War series is the Best.

I know you didn't say that HF was being compared to COD. I was just mentioning the fact that too many people(mostly COD fans) compare every FPS war based game to COD. And it really clouds people judgment.

Don't get me wrong, I love COD(most of the time) but I leave my COD thoughts at the door when I try a new FPS. Sure I do sometime make comparisons, who doesn't!? But I don't base my final thoughts on a game on how much better/worse a game is compared to COD.
